Pick Up and Shipping

Pickup Policy

  • Order Verification: The name on the order must match the ID of the person picking up. If someone else is picking up for you, they must bring a copy of the order confirmation and present a valid government-issued ID (21+).

  • Order Readiness: Orders are typically ready within 1 hour during business hours. For pre-orders (kegs, special orders, etc.), you’ll receive an email within 1 business day with the expected arrival date.

  • Pickup Window: Please pick up your order within 7 days.

Cancellations: Pickup orders can be canceled anytime before pickup and will be refunded minus an 8% credit card processor fee.
 -Keg pre orders and other pre order items can only be canceled before items are received at the store.  

Shipping Policy – VIRGINIA ORDERS ONLY

Before placing your order, please review our shipping policy below:

We only ship items marked as eligible for shipping (cans only). Orders are final—no changes once placed so please double check your order and delivery details

ORDER LIMITS & AVAILABLE ITEMS

  • We only ship canned products. If an item is not marked “Eligible for Shipping,” it cannot be shipped.

  • Shipping Order Size (only one box per transaction)

    • Large box: fits up to 24 cans (a full case, or any combination of eligible 4-packs/6-packs that total up to 24).

    • Small box: fits up to 12 cans (half case, or any combination of 4-packs/6-packs that total up to 12).

    • You may ship fewer than 12 or 24 cans, but we recommend filling the box to maximize shipping cost efficiency.

    • Orders must fit into a single box. To ship more than one box, please place separate transactions. 

SHIPPING RATES

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight and shipping address. 

AGE VERIFICATION & DELIVERY

  • By placing an order for alcohol products on our website, you confirm that you are at least 21 years of age. An adult (21+) must present a valid government-issued ID and sign for any packages containing alcohol. 

  • We ship via UPS. If UPS is unable to deliver your package, they will return the package to us. Returned packages are not eligible for refunds. To reship, you’ll need to purchase a new shipping label. 


SHIPPING SCHEDULE/TIMEFRAME

  • Orders are shipped within 2-3 business days. Delivery times vary by location. 

  • All items ship UPS 2-day ground. 

  • Once UPS confirms receipt of the order, please allow 24 hours for tracking updates.


SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

  • At this time, we only ship to addresses within the state of Virginia.

  • We do not ship to PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or internationally. 

  • We do not ship to any areas where the sale and delivery of alcohol is prohibited by law.


ORDER CHANGES

  • Once an order has been placed, it cannot be changed.

  • Enter your shipping address and email carefully. Orders ship exactly as entered.


ORDER CANCELLATIONS

  • Shipping orders: may be canceled within 2 hours and will be refunded minus an 8% credit card processor fee.


DAMAGED OR LOST PACKAGES

  • Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns.

  • If your order arrives damaged or is lost by the carrier, please reach out to us by replying to your order confirmation or emailing info@thebeerandwineshop.com within 24 hours of delivery. Please do not reach out via social media as this may delay your resolution.

    • Take clear photos of the box and each damaged item.

    • Reply to your order confirmation with these photos and a brief description of what’s damaged.

    • We will issue a refund for confirmed damaged items; we are not able to issue a replacement.

    • Shipping charges are not refundable unless the entire order is damaged or marked lost by the carrier.

  • We comply with all applicable state/local laws for the sale and shipment of alcohol. By ordering, you agree to follow those laws.

  • The Beer & Wine Shop assumes no liability for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from the misuse or consumption of alcohol purchased through our website. Consume responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
